1. SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION

RCIA PROGRAM : BAPTISM, FIRST COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:

ADULTS and YOUNG ADULTS connected with the University of Houston only: Adults seeking baptism, first communion and confirmation may contact Fr. 2. LITURGY VOLUNTEERS (MASS AND CHOIR)

The UH Catholic Newman Center needs volunteers for both of the schedule Mass on Sundays at 10:45 AM and 6:00 PM. Volunteers are needed to be Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, and Choir Members. If you feel called to help; please e-mail Fr. 3. FAITHBOOK: RECONNECTING TO OUR CATHOLIC ROOTS

Catholic Faith Formation classes we had as a kid were so long ago; we’ve all forgotten a lot of the basics. Some of us never had the opportunity to take the classes. Come take a refresher course or come to learn for the first time at the Newman Center. Classes teaching the basics of Catholic beliefs will be held twice a month at the UH Catholic Newman Center every other Wednesdays nights at 7:00 PM (Alternating with Adoration) .  Contact Fr. 4. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held every first and third Wednesdays nights at 7:00 PM at the UH Catholic Newman Center.  This is an opportunity to spend some quite time with Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

 5. ROSARY

6. COUGAR CATHOLIC NIGHT

The Catholic Newman Center is the sponsor for the Catholic Student Organization (CSO). This is a group of students, who come together to enhance spiritual formation and build community. They offer witness of the Catholic faith through active practice. They concern themselves with spiritual, social, educational, and social justice programs, especially as they affect the University and the Houston Community. 7. ADULT CONFIRMATION

CATHOLIC CONFIRMATION CLASSES

Were you baptized Catholic but never Confirmed? The UH Catholic Newman Center is offering Confirmation in the Spring Semester classes for Adult Catholics who have not completed their Sacraments of Initiation.  If you have been baptized, received your first communion and is a practicing Catholic  but have not receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, this class is for you.  We usually begin classes after Ash Wednesday.  The candidates meet for 9 consecutive weeks and get confirmed by the Bishop on Pentecost Sunday.  Please e-mail Giovan Cuchapin at fcuchapin [at] uh [dot] edu or call (713) 748-2529.
