Except for the 1st Wednesday of every month, which will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Contact Fr. The Catholic Newman Center is the sponsor for the Catholic Student Organization (CSO). This is a group of students, whom come together to enhance spiritual formation and build community. They offer witness of Catholic Christianity through active practice. They concern themselves with spiritual, social, educational, and social justice programs, especially as they affect the University and the Houston Community. They meet every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at the UH Catholic Newman Center. Please e-mail Giovan Cuchapin at fcuchapin [at] uh [dot] edu or call (713) 748-2529.
8. CONFIRMATION AND FAITH INQUIRY 2009/2010
CATHOLIC CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Were you Baptized Catholic but never Confirmed? The UH Catholic Newman Center is NOW forming Confirmation classes for baptized Catholics who have not received this important Sacrament. Through the preparatory period you will learn how to acquire, discover, affirm and live your Catholic Christian identity. Confirmation, like the other Sacraments of Initiation, marks the beginning of a journey towards deeper knowledge of God. Our Confirmation candidates join us in claiming our heritage. For years to come they will bear witness to what living and believing people have handed on to them—all in the Spirit of God.
