1.  ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASSES  
Classes are forming for students who are practicing their Catholic faith but who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Please e-mail Giovan Cuchapin at fcuchapin [at] uh [dot] edu to enroll or if you have any questions.  The Confirmation classes will meet for 7 weeks.  Class times and dates will be determined later.  The participants for this Adult Confirmation classes will be confirmed by the Bishop on May 23, 2010.
 
2.  STEPS FOR STUDENTS 5K RUN/WALK AT U OF H ROBERTSON STADIUM
The 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, February 20th at the University of Houston Main Campus Robertson Stadium, 3874 Holman Street, Houston, TX 77004.  The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 AM and the David K. Guite Memorial 1K Family Fun Run begins at 9:30 AM.  The underwriting (sponsorships) and any undesignated pledges and registration fees received for the Steps for Students 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program.  The Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program is a yearly commitment that the Archdiocese makes to keep Catholic schools accessible, available and affordable to all families.  This commitment is the hallmark of our faith and service in regards to the educational mission of the Church.  Primary Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston - Houston currently serve 13,900 students in grades Pre-K 3 to Grade 8.  For more race information, please contact Michael Schillaci at (713) 652 – 4418 or e-mail mschillaci [at] archgh [dot] org or Leslie Barrera at (713) 652 - 8257 or e-mail lbarrera [at] archgh [dot] org in the Archdiocesan Development Department.  For more information visit www.steps4students.org
 
3.  RETREAT OPPORTUNITY BAYOU AWAKENING # 14 MARCH 19 - 21 @ CAMP KAPPE
Bayou Awakening is a retreat for college age young adults (18 - 25), led by young adults, that focuses on deepening your relationship with Christ.  There are several talks, including: “What is a Christian?” “Reconciliation,” “Prayer,” “Faith,” “Discernment,” “The Mystical Body of Christ.”  There are opportunities for small group conversation, quiet prayer time, mass, and confession.
